The Parks & Recreation Department has placed containers in the Community Center to recycle the following items: Christmas lights, inkjet and laser printer cartridges, cell phones, household batteries, eye glasses, hearing aids, digital cameras, and 35 MM film cameras.

Do you have a puppy or a dog that could use a few more manners? Sunset Hills is offering classes for both puppies (8 wks to 6 months) and dogs (over 6 months). Both classes are held on Monday evenings beginning on January 23 and run through February 27. Call 314-842-7265 for more information.

Are you aware of the Discover Crestwood Program?
Local business owners have the option of participating in the Discover Crestwood Program by offering a discount of their choosing to participating patrons. To obtain this discount, consumers need only to provide a "savings pass" (obtainable on line at www.ci.restwood.mo.us). There is no out-of-pocket cost to the business other than the discount offered. Business owners will demonstrate their participation in this program by placing a Discover Crestwood decal, to be provided by the City, in their front window or near their cash register. This discount may be renewed or discontinued on an annual basis. For more information, call City Hall at 314-729-4700.

The City of Crestwood Community Center offers three spacious meeting rooms (based upon availability) capable of seating up to 80 persons and a multi-purpose room for 240 persons. These rooms are ideal for meetings, seminars, or conferences. Audio-visual equipment is available upon request. The center is fully equipped to handle birthday parties, bridal showers, wedding receptions, dances or other important events. Looking for a place for your team to practice? The multi-purpose room is also available for athletic rentals. For reservations and information contact the Recreation Leader at 729-4860.

The City of Sunset Hills Parks and Recreation Department and W.I.T.S. will be offering Electronic recycling the 3rd Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Community Center parking lot at 3915 S. Lindbergh. Drop off your electronic equipment for it to be recycled. For additional information, contact W.I.T.S. at 382-1650. The City of Sunset Hills has placed barrels in the Community Center to recycle the following: inkjet and laser printer cartridges, cell phones, household batteries, eyeglasses and hearing aids.

The Sunset Hills Historical Society meets on the fourth Monday of each
month at 7 p.m. at Sunset Hills Community Center.

FLU SHOTS

St. Anthony's Medical Center is offering flu shots to the community at all four of its urgent care centers daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.. Cost is $30.
